The 2013 edition of the Annual Mike Okonkwo National Essay Competition for students in Nigerian secondary schools is now open for entries. This year, being the 10th edition comes with juicy prizes for winners.
Mike Okonkwo Essay Competition was initiated in the year 2004, as part of activities to celebrate the Birthday of the Presiding Bishop of TREM, Dr. Mike Okonkwo (MFR) and more importantly to contribute to the development of the Educational Sector.

Guidelines
- Maximum of 2000 words
- Each entry must carry the name of student, class, email, contact phone number and his/her passport photograph
- Each entry must carry the name of school and detail postal address
- Each entry must carry the name of principal and phone number
- Essay should be clearly written (legibility is important if you are handwriting your entry).
- Entries can be sent to TREM Headquarters, Gbagada Expressway, Anthony Oke, P.O. Box 5340, Lagos. OR email to essay@trem.org. It is NOT necessary to send by post and email.
